Too Cute Baby Joke, Birthday and Anniversary

Two babies were sitting in their cribs, when one baby shouted to the other, 'Are you a little girl or a little boy?''I don't know,' replied the other baby giggling.

'What do you mean, you don't know?' said the first baby.'I mean I don't know how to tell the difference,' was the reply.

'Well, I do,' said the first baby chuckling, 'I'll climb into your crib and find out.'He carefully maneuvered himself into the other baby's crib, then quickly disappeared beneath the blankets.

After a couple of minutes, he resurfaced with a big grin on his face.'You're a little girl, and I'm a little boy,' he said proudly.

'You're ever so clever,' cooed the baby girl, 'but how can you tell ?' 'It's quite easy really,' replied the baby boy,

John and I are doing well and getting ready for our plant shutdowns so we can be off for a solid week!! We will be putting the finishing touches on our house and nursery and waiting for Reese to arrive. We celebrated our 2 yr anniverary on the 9th and John's birthday the 11th. We had family and friends over the 12th for an evening of pizza and desserts. Saturday we went to an all day birthing class. (830-5). We did bust out at 3pm because I was exhausted and wanted a nap. Luckily we got to practice labor positions and breathing with 12 other couples before we left. :)
John's parents, my parents and me gave John an NCSU autographed collector ball with Phillip Rivers and Mario Williams signature on it. He was SUPER excited and definitely had no clue what was in the big box I had hanging around the house for a month. It was wonderful to see his face. I will post a pic as soon as I get it from Kari.
We hope everyone has a MERRY and HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Long time no read...7 weeks and counting

So it has been 4 mths since my last post. I am not a good blogger. Hopefully Reese Lauria Clark will change that when she gets here. We are 7 weeks today away from my Jan 15, 2009 due date. The nursery is coming along VERY well. (will post pictures eventually) Lots of exciting things have happened over the past few months, but most of all John and I have been trying to get ready for baby Reese.
Thank you to all those who have helped get the baby necessities together and for the showers and gifts. We would not know how to handle everything without our family and friends.

We are so blessed and so thankful for everyone in our lives.
These are a few pics from my ISPE Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, FL from October. These are my lovely girls (students) that were holding me up on the surf board. We did not have it turned on because that is not safe. The next pic is the NCSU students flashing their spirit and the last one is us with our Grand Student Chapter Award presented to our region at the meeting. Best Student Chapter in the world. :) I am very proud of all my students!!!

Until next time... which we know could be months...

Happy Summer

Here are some summer event pictures since May. We have been busy but I am trying to work on it!
Beth and Me at the ISPE Angus Barn Gala.

Jarrett and Cole hanging out on the raft.

Bonfire at the Lake Memorial Day. We made smores and had "community bonding time" according to Jarrett.
Andrew Kindergarden graduation and party pics. He was Best Boy All Around Boy in his class! We are all so proud!

John's oldest brother Brian has not been home since our wedding (due to being stationed in Japan). We were so excited to see him and we all picked him up at the airport and went to dinner. It was the first time we've all been together since our wedding. YAY for Brian being home.

Andy's High School Graduation! He was the Class Valedictorian and gave a terrific speech! We were all very proud and excited of Andy's great accomplishment.

We all went to Aunt Debbie's for dinner in celebration of all our great news and Brian's visit home. Here are some pictures of that and then the boys at our house playing poker later that night.

Father's Day with the Clark Family.
They played Cornhole while Dessie and I hung out in the air conditioning.

May Birthdays - Tom and Andrew

May 10 was Andrew Loren Delahunty's 6th birthday! We had a blast playing in the moon bounce and visiting friends. Here are some pictures.

May 3 was our Dad's birthday . We celebrated at our parents house in Wake Forest. Kari made the delicious cake.

Busy Weekend

We had quite a weekend. Friday night Katie and I went to visit the Partin Family in Sophia. On the way there there was a slight mishap with a rock and my windshield. That got replaced Monday.

We had a lovely time playing with Meredith, Melissa and John. Their house looks beautiful and their landscaping is amazing. We are so blessed to have wonderful friends. I played with Meredith and held her most of dinner. She is super sweet and really didn't cry while we were there.

HAPPY PARTIN FAMILY.

We went to see Evan Blackerby play at Starbucks in Burlington. It was fun to see him again.

Saturday John and his dad hung drywall in our garage and Claire (John's cousin) came to town from FL. We were very excited to hang out with her and go to Elizabeth's graduation Pig Pickin in Wake Forest. After a busy weekend John and I rested Sunday and did not really leave the house. John left to get me some cookies and ice cream :)
Make it a great week!

What's going on with the Clarks?

John and I are doing well living in our new home in Clayton, NC. We have been there almost one full year now and are working on making it our house. We love the area and hope to be here a long time. We also are working on finishing our garage which is taking a very long time. One day... it will be complete and we will be on to the next thing.

This past weekend John's best friend Joe and his girl friend Elisa came Friday night from GA to hang out. We were blessed to get to spend some time with them and Ed and Tanesha. We had dinner and played corn hole outside. I am a way better bean bag tosser in the dark.

Sunday we celebrated my dad's birthday at my parents home in Wake Forest.
Tuesday is Cole's birthday (John's 2nd youngest brother) and we will celebrate Saturday night at our house.
Saturday is Andrew's 6th birthday and party in Wake Forest where we will spend our afternoon.
Saturday night we will be going to the Hantla's for Bryce's graduation party. He just completed his Masters at NCSU. Loving the fact we have another successful Wolfpacker in our family.
Sunday we are hosting all the mother's in John and my life at our home for a brunch. We will have 16 people in our living room/kitchen. It shall be interesting. I will post a pic if I can actually pull it off.

Don't forget to vote tomorrow if you are a part of the primary!
